This year's Friday Night Jazz Concert Series, sponsored by Tabor Hill Winery and Restaurant, will start their seasons soon in the newly renovated John E. N. Howard Band Shell.

The Friday Night Jazz Concert series takes place every Friday evening from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., July 21st through August 25th (no rain dates). This year's jazz will include a Detroit area jazz vocalist, an artistic jazz ensemble, big band sounds and a "smooth" jazz pianist. Both concert series are free to the public.

7/21 The Sheila Landis Trio
The Detroit Music Award’s “Outstanding Jazz Vocalist.” Sheila has been performing her unique style of jazz and blues since 1973.

7/28 Lake Effect Jazz
Artistic jazz ensemble Lake Effect Jazz performs the music of the great composers and songwriters who shaped the direction of American popular music in the 20th century.

8/4 Moonlighters
The Moonlighters, a 15 piece Glenn Miller style big band, performs everything from Duke Ellington to Spike Jones.

8/11 Outdoor “Bear-B-Que” and Dance at the Whitcomb!

8/18 Southshore Concert Band
Over 70 musicians bring their pop sound in this popular local community band.

8/25 Darnell Watson
Smooth jazz pianist Darnell Watson performs great songs with an accompanying vocalist.
