St. Joseph Today is delighted to announce the ninth annual Chalk the Block on the Bluff street painting festival on the weekend of August 8th & 9th, 2008. This coincides with downtown St. Joseph's Sidewalk Sales, August 7th - 10th.

Chalk the Block on the Bluff

Chalk the Block, sponsored by the Abonmarche, highlights an artist's talents against a backdrop of music, entertainment and kids' activities. Participating artists transform the streets with chalk drawings similar to those seen at festivals both in the U.S.A. and in many European countries, most notably Italy. Chalk the Block is fast gaining popularity, and each year more residents and visitors are attracted to our beautiful downtown. They are experiencing first hand, not only the festival, but the great stores and restaurants St. Joseph has to offer.
