Riders must follow some rules to ensure everyone’s safety: Sign a waiver and rental agreement. All you need is your driver’s license! Wear the helmet provided. Secure the bike when not in use.
John and Dede Howard Recreation Trail The John and Dede Howard Family Recreation Trail is a multiuse path allowing for beautiful views of Lake Michigan and the St. Joseph River over most of the length. The trail starts at the base of State Street at the Upton Arboretum. There are two trails starting at this point. The trail going east continues below the Berrien County Courthouse before ending at the Bicentennial Bridge. Going west, the trail runs on the south side of Vine Street; then west along the edges of Whirlpool Field and south along the park sidewalk to Elm Street. Proceed west to Silver Beach (use the sidewalk). Follow Lake Street east to the end at Park St. Travel east one block to Lions Park Drive. Turn south (right) and follow the trail to the end behind the water plant (just below the pedestrian bridge to Lake Court).
