St. Joseph Municipal Band Concerts
June 28th - September 7th (Sundays and Holidays)
John E.N. Howard Bandshell, Port St., Downtown St. Joseph
Concerts at 3:30 pm & 7:30 pm
The 2009 season of the St. Joseph Municipal Band begins with its normal double concerts, at 3:30 and 7:30 p.m., Sunday, June 28. The band looks forward to providing hour long concerts each Sunday from June 28, through August 30, and also including 3:30 and 7:30 concerts on July 4 (Independence Day) and its final concerts of the season, September 7 (Labor Day).

Krasl Concours on the Bluff
Saturday, August 8
Lake Bluff Park
10 a.m. – 4 p.m. 

Join other automobile enthusiasts and enjoy seeing up to 80 invited Brass Era, antique, special-interest and muscle cars on display in St. Joseph's Lake Bluff Park. Vehicles displayed will be complemented by three "pass in review" events narrated by F. Edward Lucas II, "The Voice of Meadow Brook."

Latin Taste & Rhythms Festival
August 1st, Shadowland Pavilion

Watch the sunset behind St. Joseph's lighthouse (rain or shine!) as you enjoy sounds from Latin bands and indulge your palate with great food on Silver Beach and the Shadowland Pavilion during the 7th Annual Latin Taste & Rhythms Festival.
Presented by the Whirlpool Hispanic Network.

Admission for adults, children 12 and under are free!

 
The Great Halloween Spectacle
October 24th, 12 - 4 p.m.
Downtown St. Joseph

Pumpkin Carving Contest: Begins at Noon. Bring us your best effort and win prizes. 

Halloween Parade: 2 p.m. - 3 p.m. Parade through the streets of downtown, must be costumed!

Halloween Trick-or-Treat: 3 p.m. - 4 p.m.  Trick-or-treating at area businesses. 

Free horse drawn trolley rides all afternoon!

 
Whirlpool Steelhead Triathlon
August 1st 
Jean Klock Park

This 70.3 mile course includes biking, running and swimming.

Race begins at 7 a.m. with the swim followed by the bike and finally ending with the run.
